He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomasine Richards (Scanlon) and Walter Richards; his wife Elaine V. Richards (Witwer); his daughter Donna Thompson; and his grandson Shawn Thompson.
He is survived by: his sons, Robert Richards (Julie) and Billy Richards (Nicole); his brother Marty Richards (Nancy); his grandchildren, Taisha, Tyler, Alex, Alyssa, Kayden, Lexie, Brooklynn, Scott and Steven; and his great grandchild Jasper Richards.
Visitation was held on Sunday, December 1st 2024 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Silva-Hostetler Funeral Home (1199 Wooster Rd W, Barberton, OH 44203). A funeral service was held on Sunday, December 1st 2024 at 5:00 PM at the same location. A committal service was held on Monday, December 2nd 2024 at 12:15 PM at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery (10175 Rawiga Rd, Seville, OH 44273).
