He was predeceased by: his parents, Lloyd Swart and Garnet Swart (Coffman); his wife Shirley Swart (Brady); and his siblings, Bud and Anita.
He is survived by: his son Christopher Swart (Dawn); his stepchildren, Caryl-Lyn Kennedy (Ellis) and Brian Brady (Tammie); and his brother Allen Swart (Karen). He is also survived by other loving nieces, nephews and friends.
