It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Leroy Yanda of Norton, Ohio, born in Akron, Ohio, who passed away on September 18, 2020, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph and Viola; and his sister Betty Stephens. He is survived by: his wife Jean Winkler; his children, Patti Phillips (Gary), Charlie Yanda (Kelly) and David Yanda (LeeAnn); his grandchildren, Amy Phillips, Kerri Northrop (Dan), Andrew Phillips, Joseph Phillips (Maria), John Phillips, Matthew Yanda, Gregory Yanda, Michael Yanda (Caity) and Megan Yanda; his great grandchildren, Jacob Phillips, Tucker, Carter Northrop, Mason, Cooper and Paige Yanda; and his brothers-in-law, Butch (Margie) and Jim Winkler. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Due to the coronavirus, there will be no calling hours.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Leroy's memory.
