He was predeceased by: his parents, Eugene Rooks and Bonnie Rooks (Spears); his brothers, Adam, Danny L. and Harry D. Rooks; and his brother-in-law Johnny Damron.
He is survived by: his children, Eric Rooks (Sherri) and Melissa Ashby; his grandchildren, Ethan, Mahaila, Audrianna and Jordan; and his siblings, Robert Rooks (Linda Gross), Jackie Rooks, Jane Damron and Mary Darlene Hitchings. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
