He is survived by: his parents, Gordon E. Heffern and Neva Mae Heffern; his children, Tom Heffern (Lyndsey Kirk) of Akron, Mary Heffern of Akron and Elizabeth Mae Derby (Cole); his granddaughter Hazel; and his siblings, Robert (Diane) of Akron, Richard Todd (Nicole) of Cleveland and Kathy Maddex (Craig) of Akron. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
