He was predeceased by: his wife Jeanne M. Rimel (Burnley). He is survived by: his children, Georgeann Field, George Rimel Jr., William Burnley, Robert Burnley (Monica) and Michael Burnley (Shelly); his grandchildren, William S. Field Jr., Kaitlin, Nicholas, Michael and Stevie Rae; his sisters, Florence Croft and Gloria Sibert; and his nieces and nephews, George, Jeff Croft, Eleanor Sykes and Cindy Tice. He is also survived by several great-nieces and great-nephews, other relatives and friends.
