“I’ll never forget when Whitey found a baby crows nest and then raised a pet crow named Moses! Moses would follow the bus to Norton HS and became such a nuisance the HS made the Casenhiser’s keep Moses penned up until school was out. Whitey’s mom would let Moses out of the garage in time for him to meet us at the bus stop... waiting on the power line, cawing as we got off the bus and following us home... then there’s another story of the baby possum...”

“Whitey was a giving and at the time acted as my protector! He also with his brothers taught me wrestling and boxing which would impact my life to this day. I never forgot Whitey or the impact the Casenhiser family had on me going forward for the remainder of my high school years in Pittsburgh, as well as college at Penn State and the Univ of Arkansas! Thank you Whitey for all you gave me! Fred Thompson My deepest condolences Bob and Jerry!”

“No one would know me except maybe Bob and Jerry but I was fortunate to have met Whitey when our family moved to Norton around 1965 when I was in 4th grade. Whitey was a grade above me and took me under his wing as one of my first true friends! He taught and more importantly included me in the neighborhood sports that included football, baseball, wiffleball, hunting with bow and arrows.... as well as our true passion at the time, trapping. We’d get up very early and set and check traps... cont’”
