He was predeceased by: his parents, Buford R. Newman and Katie Jameson Newman; his wife Bette Jean Thayer; his stepmother Mary Newman; and his sisters, Mary Fulks (Boots) and Billie Jean Maisano.
He is survived by: his children, Kelly Mocarski (Thomas), Dan Newman and Jeannie Wigal (David Garvey); his grandchildren, Thomas Mocarski (Christina Rhodes), Caitlin Matovich (Scott), Zack, Addison Wigal, Clayton and Cole Newman; his great grandchildren, Azaleah Rhodes-Seefeldt, Lola and Blair Matovich; his brother David (Mike); his sisters-in-law, Linda Newman, Sally McDaniel and Mildred Carneal (Ed); and also, Mark, Tami Brown, Richard and Pam Bacha. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
