He was predeceased by: his parents, Allen Mann and Frances Mann (Denniston). He is survived by: his wife Janet (McCann); his children, Thomas Mann (Kelly), Amy Timmons (Mark Timmons) and Lori Recker; and his grandchildren, Ashley Klein (Michael), Thomas Mann Jr. (Rachel Swope), Christine Mann (Andrew Covert), Matthew Timmons (Samantha), Andrew Timmons (Chelsea), Nicholas Timmons (Allison Stahl), Alexander Recker (Kaylee Veler) and Timothy Recker (Madisen Vondran). He is also survived by 10 great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions are appreciated to Christ United Methodist or Helping Hands of St. Louis.

“In loving memory of John Mann Sr., Please accept our most heartfelt sympathies for your loss. I remember John very vividly from Lake High. He, Paul Doerr, Don Dudrow and I were part of a group we called the Goobers. John loved tinkering with auto engines and racing. I remember one Halloween I was in his trunk screaming as John dragged a dummy behind his car. He also was a mainstay at our class reunions. He is missed; he is now in God's merciful hands.
