He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard M. Adkins and Mary Ann Adkins (Dacey). He is survived by: his wife Charleen; his children, Alison Zechman (Steve), Andrea Aguilar (Javier) and William Adkins; his stepchildren, Jerry Tanner (Marty), Jim Tanner (Allison), Scott Hartzell (Kaitlin), Ronnie Hartzell and Rachel Hartzell (Cory); his brothers, Larry Adkins (Debbie) and Howard Adkins (Darla); and his pet Little Bit. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews; extended family.

Family and friends may visit Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd, Oregon, Ohio, on Wednesday, January 20, 2021, from 6:00 p. m. until 7:00 p. m. with the funeral service to be held at 7:00 p. m. Social distancing and precautions are asked and appreciated for the health and safety of Eddie's family.

Ed Adkins was one of the best of all the people that I have known in my 76 years. He helped me on more than one occasion over the years. He was very kind and always willing to help a friend. The only thing we take with us when G-d calls us home, are the good deeds we did. I believe Ed took a lot of those with him. Rest in peace.””
