He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Charles R. Griffith Sr. and Anna B. Horne (Shaffer); his siblings, Douglas Horne Jr. of Northwood and Libby Howard (Charles) of Millbury; his nephews, Andrew Howard and Aaron Howard; and his niece Andrea Howard.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude's Children Hospital.
