He was predeceased by: his parents, Chester Barbee and Bette Barbee; his grandparents, Walter and Leona Howard-Goins; and his sister Elaine Barbee.

He is survived by: his wife Carla; his children, Stephanie, Dominic, Joseph and Kenneth Barbee; and his brother Michael Montgomery (Stephanie).
