It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Betty Marie Waggoner of North Star, Ohio, born in New Weston, Ohio, who passed away on October 13, 2023, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Strait and Alma Strait (Rudolph); her husband John Duane Waggoner; her grandson Aaron Waggoner; her sons-in-law, Randall Swallow, Daniel Kender and Dr. William Roberts; and her siblings, Maxine, Wayne, Clarence, Charles, Harold and Timothy.
She is survived by: her children, Denise Opperman (Jeffrey) of Lexington, Mary Rochelle Kender of Ansonia, Cathy Sacher (Michael) of Celina and Jackie Wagner-Roberts of Yellow Springs, Ohio; and her grandchildren, Matthew Opperman (Christine) of Dayton, Dr. Charles Opperman (Sara) of Waynesville, Maria Verma (Ashish) of Monroe, Nicole Mead (Joel) of Versailles, Amy Goubeaux (Tony) of Minster, Lori Gengler of Celina, Mychael Arwood (Dylan) of Fairborn, Julian Chappelle (Naseem) of Columbus and Griffin Roberts of Yellow Springs. She is also survived by 14 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.
