He was predeceased by: his parents, Emil Kostal and Mary Kostal; and his sisters, Nancy Sasala (Bob) and Emily Kostal. He is survived by: his wife Doris; his children, John Cigavic III (Akuavi), Dr. Lindsay Kostal and Kristen Opatrny (Chris); his grandchildren, Drake, Zahara Cigavic, Camdyn and Kaleb Opatrny; and his siblings, Edith Rugan (late John), Mary Ann Muscatello (late Bill), Linda Moore and Milton Kostal (Sandy Coneglio).
