He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard J. Weitzel and Lillian D. Weitzel; his brother Thomas Weitzel; and his stepson Brock Riley Demastus. He is survived by: his wife Marilyn Lee Weitzel; his daughters, Beth Kesler (Mark) and Deborah Weitzel; his granddaughter Abigail Kesler; his stepchildren, Laura Sue Jones and Edgar Demastus; his stepgrandchildren, Dante Jones and Megan Harper; his stepgreat-grandson Dierre Camden Logan; and his brother Robert Weitzel (Kathy).
