He was predeceased by: his brother Paul Pawlak (Susan); and his parents, Casimir Pawlak and Florence Pawlak. He is survived by: his children, Edward Pawlak Jr., Jamie Pawlak, Allison Dirk (Andrew), Stefanie Grove (Matthew) and Brandy Pawlak; his grandchildren, Aliya, Garrett, William, Bianca, Ethan, Zoey, Luca and Sylus; and his siblings, Kathleen Heaton (Michael), Debra Bryda (Kenneth), Sandra Swislocki (Thomas) and Robert Pawlak (Willa).

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Cleveland Clinic in support of heart research at Miller Family Heart, Vascular and Thoracic Institute.
