He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Ann; his children, Anne O'Connor (Jerry Mundell), Rita Rys (Russell) and Mark (Danette Naftanel); his grandchildren, Matthew Sliter, Michael Sliter (Katie), Lisa Carrick (Robert) and Tyler Houghton; and his great grandchildren, Hunter Carrick and Madeline Sliter.
