It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Shirley J. Thome (North Olmsted, Ohio), who passed away on June 9, 2023, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, William Kovacs and Mary Kovacs; and her sister Wilma. She is survived by: her children, Jeannine Docherty (Ryan), Michael (Colleen) and Richard (Lindsey Carr); her grandchildren, John Michael McCabe, Jacob McCabe, Evan Thome, Ryleigh Swartzlander, Sophie Thome, Kayly Smith and Eli Thome; her stepgrandchildren, Taylor, Shane and Cooper Docherty; her nephew Bill Foe; and her nieces, Patty Stone and Melinda Pauk.
Shirley had a passion for crocheting and over the years donated hundreds of blankets and caps to those in need.
