He was predeceased by: his wife Ruth E.; and his sisters, Mary Jane Nageotte (Mark) and Celia "Babe" Ross (Melvin). He is survived by: his children, Jill McIlwee (Jim), John (Jill) and Michael (Molly); and his grandchildren, Katie McCourt, Seamus McIlwee, Bridget McCourt, Liam, Aiden, Brendan McIlwee, Jack and Kiley McCourt.

Memorial contributions are suggested to The St. Andre Endowment at St. Edward High School.
