George C. Shinas Obituary
With profound sadness, we say goodbye to George C. Shinas (North Olmsted, Ohio), whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. George left this world on December 21, 2024 at the age of 92, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Constantinos Shinas and Meropi Shinas; his wife Maxine; and his brother Perry Shinas (Cleopatra). He is survived by: his children, Myra Knouff (Gary), Dean Shinas and George Shinas (Stacey); his grandchildren, Jordan Larew (Karl), Nicholas and Sophia Shinas; his great grandchildren, Stella and Niko Larew; his sister Katina Athanasiou (Gust); and his siblings-in-law, Ron Darrah, Lefty Xides, Nancy Xides and Ellie Xides. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, December 27th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Sunset Funeral & Cremation Services (6245 Columbia Rd, North Olmsted, OH 44070). A prayer will be held on Friday, December 27th 2024 at 7:00 PM at the Sunset Memorial Chapel (6245 Columbia Rd, North Olmsted, OH 44070). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 28th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the St. Paul Greek Orthodox Church (4548 Wallings Rd, North Royalton, OH 44133).
In lieu of flowers, George had requested that donations be made to the St. Paul Ladies Philoptochos Society in honor of his late wife Maxine.
