She was predeceased by: her parent Lee Roy; her former husband William Johnstone; her stepson John G. Schneider; and her brothers, George Dykes, Troy Dykes and William Dykes.
She is survived by: her parent Georgia Mae Dykes, Sr. (Horton); her husband Jack Schneider; her children, James L. Carr (Eva) of Waynesboro, Tammy L. Ciavarella (Anthony) of Boardman, Laurie L. Leonelli of North Lima and William Johnstone, Jr. (Angie McQuilin) of Youngstown; her stepchildren, Tammy L. Chuey (John) of North Lima, Marsha Waldele (Rick) and David A. Schneider; and her siblings, Jerry Dykes (Carolyn) of Waynesboro, Lee Roy Dykes, Jr. (Sylvia) of Brookhaven, Gary Dykes (Linda) of Waynesboro, Mississippi, Helen Brown of Waynesboro and Betty Abrell of Destin, Florida. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
