He was predeceased by: his parents, James Michal and Mae Michal (Spicka). He is survived by: his wife Dorothy A. Ginski; his children, Donna Michal (Ray Lazanik) of Victoria, British Columbia, Nancy Cole (Steve) of Durham, NC and James E. Michal of Austintown; his granddaughter Naomi Lazanik of Victoria; and his sister-in-law Eleanor Rapken (Russ) of Chicago. He is also survived by nine nieces and nephews.
