He was predeceased by: his wife Mildred Larue Basinger; his son Terry A. Jacobs; his grandson Brandon R. Jacobs; his siblings, Donald, Willard, Gerald, Merle and Erma; and his stepgrandchildren, Brent Schroeder and Cirenya Rose (Schroeder).
He is survived by: his children, Bruce Jacobs of Olympia, WA, Carl Jacobs (JoAnn) of Aiea, HI, Eileen Stewart (David) of North Lima, OH, Stanley R. Jacobs and Randall Jacobs (Rachel Miller) of Goshen, IN; and his siblings, Twila, Dorothea, Roma, Arnold and Duane. He is also survived by eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren and one step-grandson.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the family will hold a memorial service at a later date.
