He was predeceased by: his parents, Adin Schultz and Theda Schultz (Peppel); his brothers, Dale and Wayne; and his nephew Jon Christian.
He is survived by: his wife Joann Beard; his children, Dean Allen (Mimi) of Abilene, TX, Jason Bradley (Sara) of Austin, TX and Kaila Dee Martin (Mike) of Odem, TX; and his nephews, Jeff Schultz (Tracey) and Tim Schultz.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations may be made in Dean's name to Children of Promise International in care of Roger Lai, 6844 Loop Road, Centerville, OH 45459-2159.
