He was predeceased by: his father Samuel Bennett; his wife Deborah Bennett; his daughter Gretchen Featheringham; his brother Conway Bennett; and his brothers-in-law, Clyde and Maynard Bryant.
He is survived by: his children, Debbie A. Coberly, James Bennett (Nataliya), Melanie D. Domin and Kelly Pittman (Samuel); his grandchildren, Jennifer Unkefer, Jason Featheringham, Zack Moran, Gabrielle Wheeler, Seth Pittman (Kaylee), Brooke Riordan (Trevor), Hannah Weisgarber (Tyler), Morgan Smith, Quentin, Augustin and Parker Bennett; and his sisters, Nola Houck (Bill), Shirley Bryant, Lurley Bryant, Pauline McKinney (Leslie), Marilyn Kaye Ruble (Ben) and Marsha Faye Howard Bailey (Alvin). He is also survived by 8 great-grandchildren.
