He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl H. Shonce and Edna Shonce (Jewel); his daughter Vicki; his siblings, Frank, Calvin, Edith, Elsie, Irene and Jennie; and his granddaughter Amber Zurcher.
He is survived by: his wife Alice L. Bolen; his stepsons, Philip E. Whiteman (Diane) of Austintown and B. David Whiteman (Joanne) of Newark; his son Brad Shonce of Brookfield; his brother Kenneth Shonce (Betsy) of Vienna; and his grandchildren, Jessica Whiteman, Katie Jones and John Orosz.
