He was predeceased by: his parents, Danny Whitaker and Wanda Whitaker (Howard); and his grandparents, Willie Whitaker, Ruth, Virgil Oney, Woodrow and Rebecca Howard.
He is survived by: his siblings, Tracey Marett (Kyle) of New London and Dan Whitaker (Jess Kipp) of New London; his stepbrothers, Rob Detterman (Lynn), Brian Detterman, Cory Detterman and Kurt Detterman (Maria); his nieces, Breanne, Katie and Abby; his stepmother Regina Whitaker; and his close friend Veronica "Bonnie" Eastman. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and lifelong friends.
