She was predeceased by: her father Edward Bear; and her nephew Edward Bear III. She is survived by: her mother Patricia Bear (Clark) of North Baltimore; her husband Tom Chaffin; her children, Amanda Chaffin (Casey Stengel) of North Baltimore, James Chaffin (Mallory) of North Baltimore and Tommy Chaffin of North Baltimore; her siblings, Eddie Bear of Hoytville, Barb Houdeshell (Bob) of Findlay and Lesa Zesing (John) of Van Buren; and her grandchildren, Brady, Riley, Gavin, Avery, Greyson and Braxton.
