He was predeceased by: his parents, Vern V. Benke and Lois Benke; and his wives, Linda Benke (Brewer) and Debra Benke (Godwin). He is survived by: his sons, Vern V. Benke III (Kristen) and Chris Benke; his stepson Nick Godwin; his grandchildren, Christian, Calie, Cayden, Morgan, Ethan, Waylon and Wyatt; his sister Marlene Magda (Bill); and his child V'Anne Culp. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
