She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence W. Abel and Christina R. Futscher Abel; and her siblings, Arlene O'Shea, Helen Parker, Donna Abel and Richard Abel.

She is survived by: her daughter Darlinda Masters; her caregiver Carolee Smith of Niles, OH; and her sister Connie Jingo (Thomas) of Canton, OH. She is also survived by ten nieces and nephews and several great nephews.
