He was predeceased by: his parents, Eugene Weimer and Patricia Parks Weimer; his former wife Marlene Pohuski Weimer; and his brother David Weimer. He is survived by: his wife Dixie Lee Horrell Weimer; his children, Craig Weimer (Kim) of Niles and Trina Whetstone (Bill) of Niles; his siblings, Frederick Weimer (Barb) and Carroll Weimer; his grandchildren, William, Jacob, Michael, Margaret "Maggie", Kassidy and Maddison "Maddee"; his great grandchildren, Scarlett, Liam, Theo, Sage and Nathan; and his stepchildren, Wayne Cowan (Kim), Wanda Fletcher and Clayton Cowan. He is also survived by nine step-grandchildren.

The family requests in lieu of flowers that memorial contributions be made in Ron's name to the Ronald Weimer Public Safety Scholarship.
