He is survived by: his wife Valeria Fridley Clay; his children, Russell Clay of Georgia and Natalie Clay of California; his siblings, Marie Ramunno of Niles, Lula Foster of Niles, Liza Jane Clay of Niles, Cecil Clay (Lois) and Joseph Clay (Carol); and his grandchildren, Jeffrey Poling (Jessica), Kamman, Korissa Clay and Tyler Poling.
