He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfred M. Whitt and Edna Mae Whitt (Abbott); his wives, Esta Mae Shoulders Whitt, Maggie Butcher Whitt and Beatrice Arrowood Whitt; his son Ricky Whitt; his sister Betty Marie Hinton; and his stepfather Jack E. Harding.
He is survived by: his children, Phillip Whitt of Niles, Allen Whitt of Cardington, Dwayne Whitt (Kate) of Wisconsin, Robert Oakes of Louisiana and Karen Malcomson (Timothy) of Niles; and his sister Josephine Foster of Niles. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren.
