He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Joseph C. Sylvester and Mary Agnes Sylvester (Elias); his children, James V. Sylvester Jr. (RaeAnn) of Niles, Regina Steines (Robert) of Howland, Joseph A. Sylvester (Lori) of Columbus, Michael P. Sylvester (Sherrie) of McDonald, John F. "Jay" Sylvester (Julie) of Niles and Patrick G. Sylvester Sr. (Carol) of Niles; his sister Patricia Colbrunn (Walter) of Austintown; his wife Patricia R. Fitzpatrick Sylvester; his grandson Joseph C. Sylvester; and his sister Shirley Keel. He was also cherished by 18 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren.
