He is survived by: his wife Elva Chaves of Huerta; his children, Jesus Huerta (Kimberly), Fransisco Huerta, David Huerta (Candace), Alicia Hanshaw (Steven) and Eugenia Whitelock (Nathan); his adoptive daughter Gwendolyn Cunningham (Steven); his grandchildren, Josh, Billy Joe, Sebastian, Elizabeth, Daniel, Noah, Owen and Ava; and his siblings, Manuel Huerta, Rosio Huerta Chaw (Elmer) and Maria Eugenia (Gustavo) of Paredes. He is also survived by 9 great grandchildren, cousins, nieces and nephews.
