He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Kenneth E. Veits and Doris M. Veits (Keeney); his wife Mary Jane Veits (Fowler); his brother Donald Veits; and his children, Kenneth D. Veits and Barbara A. Gaehle (Veits) of Farr West, Utah. He was also cherished by 2 granddaughters, and 5 great-granddaughters.
