She was predeceased by: her husband Deloy E. Appel; her granddaughter Katie Appel; and her brother William "Duane" Mitchell. She is survived by: her children, Edwin Appel of Hicksville, Ohio, Kevin Appel of Hicksville, Ohio and Sandra McClure (T. J.) of Hamilton, Michigan; and her grandchildren, Sean Appel (Trish), Brent Appel (Christy), Jeffrey Appel (Brooke), Marissa Hoffman (Nathan), Jessica VanDyke (Nick) and Travis McClure. She is also survived by 10 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations to the Zion Lutheran Church or Community Health Professionals Hospice.
