He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Smith and Mary Smith (Matthews); his sons, Jeremy Daniel Smith and Jason David Smith; and his siblings, Robert Arthur Smith, Richard Allen Smith, Anthony Lee Smith and Suzanne Carol Brown.
He is survived by: his wife Elane Smith of Ney, OH; his sons, James Daren Smith (June) of Liberty Center, Jeffery Dean Smith (Stacie) of Ney and Joel Douglas Smith (Stephanie) of Liberty Center; and his sister Dee Watson. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 24th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Schaffer Funeral Home (529 Jefferson Ave, Defiance, OH 43512). A funeral service will be held on Monday, November 25th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Monday, November 25th 2024.
