He was predeceased by: his parents, James McCrystal and Frances McCrystal (Rager); his wife Margaret; and his brothers, James and John McCrystal.

He is survived by: his sons, Randy (Laura McCrystal), Timothy (Alisa McCrystal) and Jeffrey McCrystal of Austintown, OH; his sister Wildamae Fenton of Newton Falls; and his grandchildren, Breanna, Katelyn, Jakob and Alexander.
