He was predeceased by: his parents, Carroll Smith and Pauline Smith (Hill); his wife Colleen Smith (Milhoan); and his siblings, Phillip, Duane, Steven, David Smith, Lenore Chandler and Eva Smith.
He is survived by: his former wife Eileen Smith (Leddy); his daughter Maureen Minder; his grandson Collin James Minder; and his brothers, Charles Ellery Smith (Christine), Carlyn Smith and John Ramsey (Margurite). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
