He was predeceased by: his parents, John Poptic and Ann Grace Poptic (Grodesky); his wife Alice; and his siblings, Mary Poptic, Betty Ann Poptic, Irene Kern and George Poptic.
He is survived by: his children, Jim Poptic of Newton Falls, Bob Poptic of Lordstown, Alan Poptic of Kentucky, David Poptic of Howland and Diana Ferrando of Orlando, FL; and also, Karen Poptic of Newton Falls, Pam Poptic of Lordstown, Maryann Poptic of Howland and Stephen Ferrando of Orlando, FL. He is also survived by 4 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
