She was predeceased by: her parents, Arne Nils Petersson and Ellen Margaret Petersson (Hermansson). She is survived by: her husband Clarence G. Bodnar; her sons, Kenneth C. Bodnar (Amber) and Richard C. Bodnar; her grandson Wesley G. Bodnar; and her siblings, Kjell Hermansson and Britt Olsson.

In lieu of flowers, Gun would have liked to have donations made to the St. Labre Indian School in Montanna http://www.stlabre.org.
