He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel E. Hammond and Elizabeth Hammond (Ritz); and his siblings, William Hammond and Edna Rufener. He is survived by: his wife Gwendolyn L. Hammond of Newton Falls; his sons, Richard E. Hammond of Fargo, ND and Scott (Shannon Hammond); and his brother Robert (Betty Hammond). He is also survived by 3 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren.
