He was predeceased by: his grandfather Frank; his parents, Herman Staton and Iva Staton (McClain); his siblings, Velma, Marvin, William, David Staton, Francis Caudill, Elvera Ayersman and Sue Myers; and his grandson Trevor Staton.
He is survived by: his wife Shirley Holesko-Staton; his children, Michael Staton (Cassie), Marc Staton (Alicia), Edward (Kelly), Paul Staton (Bethany) and Jennifer Staton; his adoptive son Bill Hetzel; his mother-in-law Marian Holesko (Soonie); his siblings, Herman Staton Jr., Jean Estlack and Jeanne Bryner; and also Arvie Staton.
Visitation was held on Saturday, December 7th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the James Funeral Home (8 E Broad St, Newton Falls, OH 44444). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, December 7th 2024 at 11:30 AM at the James Funeral Home Inc. (8 E Broad St, Newton Falls, OH 44444).
