He was predeceased by: his parents, William W. Hootman and Lois Garnet Hootman (Shryock). He is survived by: his children, Sean Hootman, David Hootman, Amanda Gatz, Jessica (Hootman) and Benson (Jeff Benson); his sister Brenda Head (Curtis); his grandchildren, Trent, Reagan, Chelsey, Samuel, Matthew, Amelia, Jayce and Jessa; his great grandchild Emma; his nephew Marc; and his great-niece Debi Prentice.
In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for donations to be made to NAMI , National Alliance on Mental Illness.
