He was predeceased by: his parents, Gail Belt and Betty Jane Belt (Covic); and his brother Michael Belt. He is survived by: his children, Troy Belt (Tanya) of Newcomerstown, Tara Belt of Wilmingotn, NC and Tracy Rominger (Marion) of West Lafayette; his granddaughter Madison Jane; and his brothers, George Belt (Nancy Lawson), Doug Belt (Elsie), Gail Belt (Christina) and Daniel Belt (Donette). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
