She was predeceased by: her parents, George A. Whyde and Twila R. Whyde (Holdsworth); her husband Gary Colton; and her siblings, William D. Whyde and Lavina June Hill.
She is survived by: her children, Mary Gump (Steve) of Winston Salem, NC and John David Shaw (Cheryl Ann) of Florissant, CO; her stepdaughter Julia Brown (Brian) of Bakersville; her grandchildren, Zeke Gump (Megan), Nora Hamme (Fritz), Jacob Shaw, Austin Brown and Autumn Brown; her great grandchildren, Cassidy Gump, Ansley Kate Skidmore and Adelaide Joyce Hamme; and her siblings, Rev. Ronald Whyde of Newcomerstown, Barbara Storck of Newcomerstown, Patricia Keylor (Hubert) of Columbiana and George J. Whyde (Marcia) of Jamestown.
