He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Dennis and Caroline Dennis (Porcher); his wife Katherine Jean Dennis (Welsh); and his brothers, Donald Dennis of Newcomerstown and Dick Dennis (Grace) of Fredericksburg, PA..
He is survived by: his children, Caroline Steffey (Gary) of Chesapeake, VA, Susan Johnson (Gerald) of Currituck, NC, Jon Dennis (Tina) of Poplar Branch, NC and Mike Dennis of Currituck, NC; his stepdaughter Bonni Granato (Tom) of New Philadelphia; and his siblings, Judy Smith (Ted) of West Lafayette and John Dennis (Vicky) of West Lafayette. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
