It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ruth Smelser of Newbury, Ohio, born in New Castle, Pennsylvania, who passed away on December 30, 2020, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Anton Schultz and Emma Schultz; her husbands, Leslie P. Sankey and Rev. Gerald V. Smelser; her daughters, Ruth Boalt and Barbara Francis; and her siblings, Henry, Alfred, John Schultz, Lydia Cain, Helen Rocco and Esther Flechsig.
She is survived by: her sons, Timothy Smelser (Donna) of Ohio and Robert Sankey of Nebraska. She is also survived by grandchildren and great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
