He was predeceased by: his parents, Kazimer Szczepanik and Lottie Szczepanik; and his sibling Kazimer. He is survived by: his wife Mary Ann; his children, Greg (Melissa), Kat Jones (Ryan), Ann Szczepanik (Richard Kim) and Stacey Szczepanik; his grandsons, Victor, Walter and Alexander; his brother Stanley; and his sister-in-law Mary Ellen Szczepanik.
